SCOTT CARTER FOUNDATION

Raising money to fund childhood cancer research. Scott Carter was a 13-year old boy who died in December of 1993 after a courageous three-year battle with bone cancer. Read more of Scott’s Story here. The Scott Carter Foundation was formed to help make Scott’s dream a reality. Over the last 27 years, the foundation has raised more than $3.5 million through donations and fund raising events including an annual golf tournament, dinner and auction, Run Disney's yearly Marathon Weekend, and other fun events.  (To see what's coming up next, click on the NEWS Page.)

 

The foundation has funded more than nine two-year research fellowships at institutions including M.D. Anderson, Huntsman Cancer Institute, Texas Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Denver, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Duke University Medical Center and Duke University Children’s Hospital.
