Welcome to the team page for the Scott Carter Foundation Race Season! The Scott Carter Foundation is devoted to raising funds for children's cancer research. Scott was a 13-year old boy who died in December 1993 after a courageous three-year battle with bone cancer. He believed that if enough time, energy and money were devoted to children's cancer research, a cure could be found. During the duration of his illness, he put together a remarkable collection of sports and celebrity memorabilia, which was previously on display at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Each year, SCF partners with runDisney to participate in all their run events to raise money and further Scott's dream of finding a cure! Every season, we partner with a few hundred runners, from all over the world, to participate in all runDisney events and raise money for SCF. Because SCF is operated out of the Carter's home by mostly volunteers, the majority of money raised goes toward funding research projects. Thank you for joining us as we work together to find a cure!

From the start line to the finish line, Disney will ensure that Every Mile is Magic! We are going Coast to Coast! SCF plans on participating in the 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend, 2024 NEW! Disneyland® Halloween Half Marathon Weekend, 2024 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, 2025 Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend, 2025 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend and 2025 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend.

The following includes information on the process of participating with our charity team:

1 - Bib Payment - To secure a bib in the Scott Carter Foundation's allotment for an event during the race season, runners must go to our bib payment page below. All bib payments are non-refundable.

2 - Fundraising - Fundraising is $300 per bib if the runner completes the fundraising minimum payment up front. Fundraising is due the day before the expo begins and bibs will not be released until all fundraising is paid. If funds are not raised by the deadline, runner forfeits bib, bib fees and all fundraising. Fundraising minimums are $400 per bib for former runners and $500 per bib for new runners. SCF will send our runners the team fundraising website information after bibs are purchased.

3 - Official Charity Registration - runDisney will send SCF a charity registration link to send to our runners. SCF runners must complete registration at least 45 days in advance of the event start date to be able to participate in the event. If any runner does not complete registration by the deadline, they forfeit their bib, bib fees and all fundraising raised.
